POSITION TYPE: Full-Time Position Available

SALARY: $68,556 - $96,644 per annum

POSITION LOCATION: Notre Dame Campus (Winnipeg, MB)

DUTIES
Reporting to the Director, Student Support Services; the Manager, Indigenous Student Recruitment oversees college-wide initiatives to attract Indigenous prospective students and position RRC Polytech as their preferred post-secondary institution in the province of Manitoba. This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategic direction for Indigenous student recruitment at RRC Polytech. The Manager builds relationships and connections with local and provincial Indigenous organizations and First Nation, Non-Status, Metis, and Inuit Indigenous communities, and other post-secondary institutions. The Manager ensures recruitment work is culturally appropriate, inclusive, and supportive of prospective and current Indigenous students, sponsors, and communities. The Manager provides leadership to Indigenous Student Recruitment team to guide and support recruitment, and retention and success of RRC Polytech Indigenous students. The Manager works closely with other recruitment colleagues to assist and help build an integrated and coordinated college-wide recruitment strategy of domestic students, specifically targeting Indigenous students. Indigenous Ancestry required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Arts, Business or Education. Other combinations of education and lived experience may be considered
  • Several years of recruitment-related experience, including planning and implementing recruitment strategies and best practices
  • Strong leadership skills and supervisory experience to train, lead, and motivate a team
  • Experience working in partnership with Indigenous organizations, communities, and other stakeholders, including funding agencies
  • Experience with protocols and culture when working with Indigenous organizations and communities
  • Experience with budget management
  • Experience in analyzing data to assess the effectiveness of strategies and make recommendations for improvement
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Experience problem solving, decision making, and goal setting
  • Experience developing and delivering both online and in-person events
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

  • Academic credentials in project management

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
  • This position may be required to work overtime
  • May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
  • Incumbent must hold a valid class 5 driver`s license
  • Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check
  • This position may be required to travel
