Job Description Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto’s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier. Our Technical Integration & Assurance Management team is seeking an Analyst to support the Interface Manager and project delivery teams in analysis, maintenance and provision of information required for the function of the team to manage interfaces, maintenance, analysis and reporting of Information, using the TILOS model for the GO Expansion Program.
What will I be doing?
- Assist and support Interface Manager in collecting information from various project teams to develop corridor level overview with systems configuration approach and Time / Location information utilizing TILOS program.
- Develop and maintain the Program Interface Register along with visual plans for better understanding and clarity.
- Identify key Interfaces based on criticality and ongoing issues to escalate and find resolutions to mitigate impacts.
- Coordinate between Project Teams to seek information and transform into Corridor Mapping for program overview.
- Prepare reports and presentations to various stakeholders and the Program Interface Management (PgIM) team on a regular basis, working collaboratively to meet internal and external stakeholder requirements.
- Prepare Minutes of meetings and support Interface Managers as required in administrative activities
- Maintain documents in orderly fashion on the Metrolinx Document Management Systems.
- Assist Manager in developing and maintaining register of Projects with a program level view and identify key issues to mitigate customer and project impacts.
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?
- Completion of a diploma and or degree in transportation, Civil Engineering, Construction Project Management, or a related discipline – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in planning and/or project management in the rail transportation industry with direct involvement in execution of Transit infrastructure and station construction
- Proficient in Primavera P6 software
- Knowledge of Tilos (Time – Location Schedule) is an asset
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Numerical and analytical thinking skills. Engineering, mathematical or IT data-base skill, Analytical Systems - Excel, Graphs, Adobe, ability to interpret project schedules.
- Organizational skills to work independently and prioritize daily requirements with limited supervision
- Experience in research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Interpersonal, oral/written communication to effectively communicate with employees, assist or deliver presentations, and respond to requests for information from stakeholders
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in rail, transit and/or municipal infrastructure
