Your New Role
The Data Centre Operator will be responsible for the oversight of a mission-critical facility in Burnaby. You will be responsible for monitoring building systems, conducting regular and preventative building maintenance, and liaising with contractors and vendors. The schedule for this role is rotational and consists of four weeks of day shifts followed by four weeks of night shifts (4 days on, 3 off) in order to provide appropriate site coverage.
Responsibilities will include
Conducting regular and preventative building maintenance (electrical, plumbing, HVAC). Monitor and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems (BAS, BMS, DDC). Perform regular property inspections. Contact and coordinate vendors and contractors.
What you’ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate has a background in Building Operations or HVAC, electrical, or mechanical service. 4+ years of experience in Building Operations or Facilities Management in a mission-critical environment. Experience with liquid cooling technology is an asset. Strong understanding of HVAC and mechanical, boiler, and chiller systems. Power Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical education is an asset. CPR & AED Certifications. Ability to obtain reliability status security clearance.
