About the role

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead and execute projects of all sizes, creating schedules, budgets, installation plans, and commissioning timelines.

  • Identify and manage risks, ensuring safety standards are met and potential issues are eliminated before they become problems.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as operations, maintenance, procurement, contractors, engineering firms, regulatory agencies, and municipalities.

  • Drive multidisciplinary projects with strong business sense, including large-scale greenfield builds, building construction, equipment installation, commissioning, acceptance testing, and project closeout.

  • Track progress & report results to the Engineering Manager, adjusting scope, schedule, or budget as needed.

  • Oversee CAPEX projects across Atlantic’s network, ensuring technical quality, cost control, scheduling, and safety.

  • Resolve technical issues during design, engineering, installation, and commissioning, whether it’s a single machine, a full production line, or an entire facility.

  • Prepare detailed reports for management and other stakeholders.

  • Confer with project teams to provide technical advice and problem-solving support.

  • Oversee technical content of procedures and programming for training purposes.

What we’re looking for

  • 2–3 years of experience delivering projects on time and on budget.
  • Educational background preferred in Mechanical / Industrial / Electrical Engineering
  • Proven ability to lead and manage small to large-scale projects.
  • Strong design, planning, organization, and communication skills.
  • Hands-on problem solver with a track record of critical thinking and sound judgment.
  • High sense of ownership, able to take projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Project, or equivalent project management tools.
  • Willingness to travel and work independently on-site when required.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of OHSA, building codes, electrical and environmental regulations, and experience working with regulatory agencies.
  • Experience in the corrugated or packaging industry.
