About the role
Hood Packaging is a manufacturer of a quality packaging materials who operates across Canada and the United States with its 23 production sites.
We have grown through innovation and strategic acquisitions. Initially operating in the cotton business, we expanded our flexible packaging skills to paper, plastic and woven substrates.
Our Montreal division specializes in the production and printing of plastic film with specifications that can serve the food industry as well as all other industries looking for quality flexible packaging.

If you are enthusiastic about making a real difference by being part of a winning team like ours, we currently are searching for electro mechanics for our Saint-Léonard plant.
Responsibilities
-
Intervene in a timely manner for repairs in the event of a breakdown in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical or pneumatic systems to ensure good performance and optimize downtime.

Ensure preventive maintenance of equipment according to the pre-established program on EAM, and record data on computer, dans collaborate in improving the system in place
-
Keep all technical documentation related to its activities up to date (technical plan, work procedure, etc.).

Install new equipment.
-
Modify equipement when necessary.
-
Be available to answer calls and travel when needed.
-
Be available to work overtime when required.
-
Watch out for emergencies and promptly notify and report any dangerous anomalies or potential SQF contamination.

Keep the workplace place and tidy. .

Apply the various safety rules.

Apply the Hood Packaging company’s food safety and quality policy.
Education :
-
Professional or technical degree (DEP / DEC) in electromechanics, electrodynamics, control instrumentation or any other equivalent field.
Experiences :
-
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position.

Experience in a unionized company is an asset.

Each operation brings a particular skill, product, or other strength to our company – Liquid VFFS filling from Glopak and High Density printing are just a few of our innovative technologies.
We are organized along two product types – Paper and Plastic. The Paper Division has 15 geographically diverse locations across the United States and Canada making flexible paper packaging structures with a very wide range of types, formats and closures. The Plastics Division has 8 production locations, again with the broadest possible selection of structures and many with unique applications. Cross selling our products allows us to develop unique product and supply arrangements.
