About the role

OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Media Relations – Atlantic Canada, the Marketing Coordinator supports the planning and implementation of marketing, promotion, and education initiatives across the region. This role helps advance the marketing team’s goals by coordinating campaigns, supporting stakeholder outreach, developing creative content, and tracking performance across multiple marketing and promotional channels.

The ideal candidate is a motivated, bilingual (English/French) marketing creator who combines strong coordination and organizational skills with creativity, design capability, and a data-driven mindset.

This is a remote-based position, requiring residency in New Brunswick or Nova Scotia, with occasional travel required within Atlantic Canada.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Director in implementing marketing and education strategies to meet regional goals and objectives.

  • Coordinate marketing campaigns and community engagement activities across Atlantic Canada.

  • Develop and design marketing materials, presentations, and digital assets in alignment with brand guidelines.

  • Provide graphic design support for both digital and print materials.

  • Create or adapt existing creative assets for distribution across regional communication channels — including website, email, social media, print, and promotional platforms (e.g., out-of-home advertising, community signage, and other materials).

  • Coordinate stakeholder and community engagement sessions via Zoom or Teams.

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs), evaluate campaign outcomes, and prepare regular reports with recommendations for improvement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, consistency, and effective execution of marketing and promotional initiatives.

  • Monitor marketing and communications trends, providing insights to strengthen regional initiatives.

  • Perform other coordination and administrative duties as required to support marketing and education programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Languages

  • Professional proficiency in both official languages (English and French) is required.

Education

  • Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia — including local communities, culture, and regional media landscapes — is preferred.

Knowledge**/Competencies/Skills**

  • Graphic design skills preferred, with proficiency in Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating marketing or communications initiatives, preferably in a regional or community-facing context.

  • Good understanding of marketing strategies, campaign coordination, and performance measurement (KPIs, analytics, reporting).

  • Experience modifying and updating websites (basic Word Press familiarity preferred).

  • Demonstrated skills and experience in creative content writing for digital and print materials.

  • Analytical mindset and critical thinking skills for evaluating campaign performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and proactive work style.

  • Quick learner who thrives in fast-paced environments and adapts easily to changing priorities.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Advanced knowledge and application of Office 365 tools, including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and related applications.

  • Experience facilitating or managing meetings on Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • All CM employees work 40 hours per week, remotely from a home office environment, with this position working remotely within Atlantic Canada.

  • This role requires occasional travel within the Atlantic region, as a result, there will be some variability in scheduling to accommodate operational needs, or flexibility with extra hours during peak campaign periods.
