About the Opportunity
Currently, we are seeking an enthusiastic individual capable of working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment who is looking to learn about the logistics industry. Job experience is not as important as attention to detail, a great attitude, excellent customer service skills, and willingness to learn (we will provide on-the-job training and any additional certifications required).
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Material handling activities of counting, weighing, sorting, packing, and unpacking
-
Managing materials by tracking inventory, organizing, restocking shelves, and pallet labeling
-
Hand bombing and/or using the forklift to load and unload cargo from dry vans, flat bed, and containers
-
Perform warehouse activities, like opening containers and crates, and filling customer orders
-
Receive orders for customers, enter them into the system, and place them in the designated area.

When the customer places an order, take the ticket, pick the order and get the items ready for shipping.

Prepare and pack shipments
-
Daily tracking and updating Customers on delivery status.
-
Ensure the warehouse is always secure by registering people who come in. Enforce safety protocol (wearing safety equipment) and issue visitor passes.

Assist in ensuring general cleanliness of the warehouse including sweeping floors and disposing of left-over package waste.

On the 1st of every month conduct an inventory check with accounting and send any discrepancies to the attention of accounting.
About You
REQUIRED SKILLS

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
-
Ability to prioritize, manage time efficiently and multitask
-
Familiar with Excel, Word, MS Teams, and general computer aptitude
-
Great attention to detail
-
Able to lift up to 50 lbs when required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
-
1 year of warehouse experience.
-
Forklift experience an asset
-
Valid drivers license
