Job Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our Accounting & Administration team. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of bookkeeping and accounting principles, excellent data entry skills, and experience with cloud-based accounting systems like QuickBooks Online, Sage, etc.
Reporting to the Director of Finance , you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts receivable, assisting with payroll, and supporting overall financial operations. Responsibilities
- Create and send invoices to clients in accordance with internal procedures and schedules.
- Confirm clients have received invoices and follow up to ensure timely payment.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes related to client billing.
- Receive and record customer payments in the accounting system (QuickBooks Online).
- Maintain accurate and organized digital records of transactions.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and other departments to confirm billable work and resolve invoicing issues.
- Prepare AR reports and aging summaries as required by management.
- Assist in implementing financial process improvements to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma in finance, accounting, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar role.
- Intermediate Knowledge of QuickBooks Online or other accounting software.
- Basic understanding of Canadian AR practices and basic financial procedures.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow up consistently.
Pay: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
