About the role
CGC Inc. is currently recruiting for a General Labourer (Part-Time) for our ceilings plant, based in Oakville, Ontario. It's a part-time position, offering a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their skills and abilities in a manufacturing operation within a large corporation.
Under the guidance of the Specialty Foreman, the General Labourer conducts the daily operations of the Specialty Department.
Additional Responsibilities Of The Production Operator Include
- Perform manual processing, packaging, and housekeeping duties.
- Operate tools and equipment efficiently to produce high-quality products.
- Prioritize safety and housekeeping in all tasks and comply with all safety rules and procedures.
- Promote and enforce safety among team members.
- Work cooperatively in a team and maintain reliable attendance.
- Foster good morale and working relationships within and across departments.
Qualifications
- A track record of positive safety behaviors, attendance, attitude and work performance with a passion for learning new skills.
- High School Diploma required.
- Prior work experience in sheet metal fabrication and/or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts (average of 20h/ week).
- Proficient in collaborating with team members and maintaining clear, effective communication.
- Capability to work independently
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
