We’re Hiring!

We are currently looking to fill a full-time, permanent position for a Business Partner in our Farm Operations Department at our Leamington facility.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist with annual budgeting processes, including development of farm operating budgets and monitoring of the Farm Admin budget.
  • Prepare financial models and analysis (forecasting, ROI, payback, scenario analysis) to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Review and validate farm-related invoices and financial data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with budget plans.
  • Assist in the preparation, prioritization, and refinement of CapEx requests, including financial justification and proposal development.
  • Lead or support operational efficiency initiatives such as lighting trials, including planning, execution, analysis, and reporting.
  • Conduct commercial evaluations (cost/benefit, efficiency analysis, fixture selection) and support grant applications and recovery processes.
  • Develop business cases, prepare presentations, and compile analytical packages for farm projects, ELT reviews, and strategic recommendations.
  • Support cross-functional reviews and financial assessments with Accounting, Admin, Operations, and leadership teams.
  • Support evaluation and implementation of new technologies, tools, and trials including IPM systems, automation tools, and service contracts.
  • Assist with long-term farm planning, including 3-year crop planning, operational targets, and alignment with strategic initiatives.
  • Create, track, and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, accurate monthly reports and dashboards for Farm Leadership and the Farm Team.
  • Coordinate and manage project tasks, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution of improvement initiatives. Monitoring progress of projects and operational initiatives, escalating risks or barriers as needed.
  • Develop or support the creation of job descriptions, SOPs, and documentation to improve operational consistency and clarity.
  • Assist with VDK system support, business reviews, issue resolution, and equipment-related business case development.
  • Support biosecurity implementation and compliance, including problem solving, team accountability, and development of biosecurity-related business cases.

What You Bring:

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Agriculture, or related field.
  • 3–5 years experience in analysis, farm operations, project coordination, or business planning (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation development skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and accountability.
  • Proficiency with Excel, data analysis tools, BI platforms, and presentation software.

What To Expect:

  • Primarily office-based with regular presence in farm environments.
  • Some travel to propagators, suppliers, or public events.
  • Travel within Nature Fresh Farms Greenhouse and Warehouse facilities, within Canada and US
