Position: Tech Lead Full Stack.Net Developer/Solution Architect

Type: Full-time

Location: Toronto

Environment: Hybrid

We are looking for a hands-on(75-80%) Technical Lead for a successful, growing Canadian SaaS organization with leading platforms that address the current challenges the target industry is facing and offers solutions in technology, purchasing, finance and marketing. With close to 2,000 B2B clients, the new products continue to expand, be modernized and enhanced.

The Role The software development team for two products is looking for an experienced technical team leader to coach and mentor a team of developers (4) to build out software aligned to our road-map initiatives. You will work alongside a multi-functional team composed of technology leadership, product managers, UX designers and project management professionals, with an ultimate goal of driving sales performance and revenue growth. Your work will involve working with the project team to create development backlog for your development team. You will become the owner and expert of your domain, gaining a deep understanding of the platform and the overall market. You will be an active development resource and mentor to your team, including their growth. You will own the project from inception to a strong CI/CID release management environment, adhering to our DevOps guidelines.

Key Responsibilities Team Leadership (30%)

  • Lead a team of 2 backend/full-stack and 2 front-end developers working on modern .NET/Angular/React and cloud-native technologies.
  • Drive agile development practices, ensuring high velocity and quality deliverables across bi-weekly sprints.
  • Mentor and coach team members, supporting their career development and technical skill advancement.
  • Own sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release processes, while promoting DevOps best practices (CI/CD, testing, observability).
  • Enforce coding standards, unit testing, documentation, and code review culture.

Solution Design (25%)

  • Design end-to-end technical solutions that align with product goals, business needs, and platform strategy.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and Stakeholders to turn complex requirements into clear, actionable system designs.
  • Produce architectural documentation, design patterns, and technical guidelines to ensure system integrity and sustainability.
  • Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and compliance requirements for the travel industry.

Development (45%)

  • Actively contribute to day-to-day development across backend and front-end codebases, serving as a hands-on technical lead rather than an oversight-only role.
  • Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and services using .NET / .NET Core, ensuring clean architecture, performance, and security best practices.
  • Develop and enhance Angular-based front-end applications, including:
  • State management (RxJS and Signals where applicable)
  • Reactive forms and modern component patterns
  • Performance optimization and lazy loading strategies
  • Lead by example through writing high-quality, testable code, including unit tests, integration tests, and automated quality checks.
  • Review, refactor, and modernize legacy code to align with current architectural standards and platform roadmap initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the full stack, including production support when required.
  • Drive adoption of best-in-class engineering practices, including clean code principles, observability, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to and improve the CI/CD pipeline, deployment automation, and cloud-native development workflows.

Requirements Technical Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with the Microsoft .NET stack (C#,.NET Core, Entity Framework).
  • Proven experience as a Technical Lead, Solution Architect or Senior Developer with architectural and solution design responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, and event-driven architecture (EDA).
  • Front-end experience with Angular 18+, and familiarity with UI/UX frameworks such as Material Design.
  • Solid experience with Azure cloud services, DevOps pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions), and distributed systems highly preferred
  • Comfortable with relational (SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
  • Familiarity with caching, messaging, and integration tools such as Redis, GraphQL, ElasticSearch, and Auth0.

Leadership & Communication

  • Demonstrated ability to lead development teams and deliver solution designs that align with overall architectural guidelines
  • Strong communicator, able to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to champion best practices and apply architectural frameworks in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
