Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Consultant with strong expertise in Infrastructure (highest priority), Database Administration (DBA), and Interfaces. The ideal candidate is a versatile professional who can integrate seamlessly across teams and provide support where capacity gaps exist, particularly in infrastructure operations. This role requires a balance of technical depth, problem-solving ability, and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead infrastructure operations, ensuring stability, scalability, and security of IT environments.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot hardware environments and operating systems (Windows Server, Unix/Linux).
- Support database administration activities across SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and other platforms.
- Manage and troubleshoot application servers and system interfaces to ensure seamless connectivity and performance.
- Administer and optimize virtualization technologies (VMWare).
- Manage cloud environments, particularly Azure AD and Office 365.
- Support Citrix environments and contribute to user access management.
- Create and maintain scripts (PowerShell) to automate and optimize processes.
- Apply ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
- Collaborate across infrastructure, DBA, and application/interface teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of relevant experience and certifications (e.g., MSCE – Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer).
- Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience (healthcare sector experience is an asset).
- Solid expertise in infrastructure management and operations (priority focus).
- Proven experience in database administration and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of system integration and interface management.
- Bilingualism (French and English) required.
