DXP HSE Integrated is currently seeking a qualified Fire Services Technician to join our team. The Fire Services Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, recharging, and testing fire extinguishers to ensure compliance with applicable standards and certification requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair, recharge, and test fire extinguishers to ensure compliance for equipment certification
- Report regularly to the Fire Services Supervisor regarding daily activities and work forecasts
- Inventory fire protection and SCOTT air equipment; report any missing or damaged items
- Communicate with customers regarding repair costs and equipment sales
- Clean, test, and inspect fire safety equipment
- Assist other personnel as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors and/or management
Required Qualifications
- Above-average troubleshooting skills
- Previous experience working with fire suppression equipment, including inspection, repair, maintenance, and testing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good vision and hearing
- Physically capable of performing job-related tasks, including:

- Lifting up to 55 lbs
- Pushing and pulling tools and equipment
- Sitting and driving for extended periods
- Bending, kneeling, and crouching
- Standing and walking for extended periods
Required Certifications & Training

NFPA 10 – Fire Extinguisher Maintenance and Certification

NFPA 1962 – Standards for Inspection, Care, and Use of Fire Hose (asset)

H2S Alive
-
Standard First Aid / CPR
-
Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with full driving privileges in the province of issue (appropriate class for company vehicles)

Ability to conduct equipment maintenance procedures at the field level
