About the role
Pickering Casino Resort is seeking 2 LIMITED Part-time Coat Check Attendants!
Under the general direction of the Guest Services Supervisor, the Coat Check Attendant is often the first point of contact for our Guests and is expected to provide the highest caliber of customer service. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving coats, umbrellas, luggage, etc. and tagging items to ensure that the Guests receives their own item at departure, while ensuring that the condition of the item remains the same. You will support your fellow employees and assist with promotions as required.
Limited Part-time status team members are utilized for peak periods and for the purposes of events, conventions, meetings, or similar activity identified by the parties as appropriate. They must be available for a minimum of 3 shifts per month.
The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills and abilities, executing the following in support of the company’s vision, mission and values:
- Promptly greet and communicate with guests;
- Communicate and assist guests with the coat check process;
- Hang and organize coats within the numerical order system;
- Return coats and items using the numerical order system to guests in a friendly and efficient manner;
- Maintain and organize coat check area ensuring cleanliness at all times;
- Accurately complete paperwork referring to lost or stolen articles;
- Build and maintain relationships with management and team members;
- You will work under Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and comply with all applicable laws, policies and procedures.
- Additional duties as assigned or required.
Successful applicants will demonstrate the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent working experience;
- Minimum one (1) year of customer service experience in a high-volume establishment;
- Organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills;
- Knowledge of computer application packages and mathematical skills;
- Must be people-focused, professional and committed to service excellence;
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, customer service and communication skills;
- Maintain a positive working relationship with fellow employees and management as part of a team.
Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights. The hours of work will be based on operational needs. Ready to embark on your next adventure?
