Your Impact
As Manager, Mergers& Acquisitions at OpenText, you’ll be a key contributor to the company’s inorganic growth strategy across a $200B+ total addressable market. As part of the Corporate Development team, you’ll help identify and execute high-impact acquisitions that fuel innovation, expand our global footprint, and strengthen our competitive edge. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll support end-to-end deal execution, sourcing, diligence, negotiation, and integration, while building strong relationships both internally and across the M ecosystem. What the Role Offers
- Support the identification, evaluation, and execution of public and private company acquisitions across OpenText’s global portfolio
- Conduct market and competitive analysis, assisting in maintaining a robust pipeline of acquisition targets in collaboration with business unit leaders
- Coordinate comprehensive due diligence processes with internal and external experts and stakeholders (Legal, Finance, HR, Tech, etc.)
- Support the negotiation of key deal terms and structures across various transaction types and sizes
- Build financial models and analytical frameworks to support executive decision-making
- Identify and communicate deal risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies
- Support M governance processes and prepare materials for senior leadership and board review
- Participate in post-merger integration planning and execution alongside cross-functional teams
- Build and maintain relationships with external advisors, including investment banks, private equity and venture capital firms
What You Need to Succeed
- 3-5 years of M experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or venture capital—ideally within the software or tech sectors
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and business case development skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- A strategic mindset, with sound judgment and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Adept at building trust and collaboration across functions and external partners
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Bachelor's degree required
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed
