COMMUNITY MANAGER (Contract Position)
HYBRID - Vancouver, BC
$45 per hour
We're looking for a Community Manager with experience building and engaging player communities across social and owned platforms for a well-known gaming franchise and a flagship gaming studio.
The Community Manager owns the health, growth, and engagement of the player community across platforms, driving consistent interaction and surfacing player insights to inform development, marketing, and live operations. This role ensures a strong connection between the studio and players throughout the product lifecycle.

Drive engagement via content, discussions, and campaigns Maintain healthy, active, and inclusive community environments Analyze engagement and adjust strategy accordingly Assigning admins Act as a bridge between players/community and internal teams Support marketing beats, launches, and live ops communications
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages day-to-day activity and usage to keep the community engaged and productive Supports peers and ensures knowledge sharing across departments Shares insights and helps make information accessible and reliable Participates actively in discussions and is trusted by the Creates and manages: Community campaigns Conversations Community analytics SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
Proven experience managing and growing communities across social and/or owned platforms Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, engaging content for diverse audiences Demonstrated ability to build relationships and foster engagement with community members and stakeholders Experience developing and executing content and engagement strategies aligned to business goals Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret community data, trends, and sentiment to drive decisions Ability to work cross-functionally and influence partners across development, marketing, and communications teams Highly organized and deadline-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Creative thinker with a passion for community building, storytelling, and player engagement Demonstrated ownership and drive for results, with a focus on continuous improvement Experience with community platforms (e.g., Discord, Reddit, social media channels) and engagement tools Passion for gaming and understanding of player communities, live service dynamics, and player sentiment
