YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Power Distribution Electrical Supervisor, you will be part of the Site Service & Infrastructure Department. You will be responsible for the organization and distribution of tools and materials at the Detour Lake Mine. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Compliance with and promote a positive health, safety and environment culture and the Internal Responsibility System;
- Assist linemen with maintenance of overhead powerlines.
- Fiber Optic Lashing and terminations
- Construction, installation and modification of electrical systems;
- Read specifications and drawings;
- Knowledge and use of various electrical tools;
- Basic instrumentation troubleshooting;
- PLC logic and troubleshooting activities as required;
- Maintain equipment rated for 24 volt to 13.8KV;
- Maintaining electrical transformers, generators, variable frequency drives, motors, lighting, and medium to high voltage distribution, substations and control systems;
- Assist other departments as needed.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Ontario provincial or inter-provincial (Red Seal) Electrical trade certificate;
- Experience in a construction working environment;
- Two years practical work experience within the mining sector;
- Ability to work and be exposed to the elements (Working at heights and outdoor working environment);
- Experience working at a remote work site is considered an asset;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Your Work Schedule:
- Schedule: 14/14 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
