Compensation Details:

Business Development 21: Salaries typically range from $150,715 to $200,953 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.

Location

  • Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, currently requiring management-level employees to work in the office 3 days per week. (subject to change)
  • This role can be performed from one of EDC’s Community Hubs in Montreal, Brossard, or Laval.
  • Relocation assistance is available for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.

Team and Job Overview:

  • The Regional Vice-President (RVP), Mid-Market Business – Quebec, is a senior leadership role responsible for leading EDC’s Mid-Market Business activities across the Quebec region. Reporting into the Mid-Market Group leadership, this role has full accountability for regional strategy, business performance, people leadership, and stakeholder engagement.

  • As the most senior EDC representative for Mid-Market Business in Quebec, the RVP will lead and develop a large, geographically dispersed team while strengthening EDC’s presence and impact across the province. Central to success in this role is a deep understanding of Quebec’s financial and business ecosystem, an established and credible regional network, and the ability to think and act strategically in a complex, matrix environment.

  • This leader will work closely with partners across EDC and externally to ensure Quebec-based companies are well supported throughout their growth and international expansion journeys.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A university degree or equivalent professional designation in a relevant discipline.
  • Extensive senior-level experience in business development, relationship management, or financial services within a complex organization.
  • Demonstrated success leading large, diverse teams and senior leaders, with a leadership style grounded in trust, humility, and accountability.
  • Strong strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to translate strategy into executable plans and measurable results.
  • Deep understanding of Quebec’s financial ecosystem, including public and private sector stakeholders, and an established, credible regional network.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively within a matrix organization, influencing across functions and levels.
  • Fully bilingual in French and English.

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Experience working within or alongside public-sector or Crown organizations.
  • Knowledge of EDC’s products, services, and role within Canada’s trade ecosystem.
  • A track record of building strong external partnerships that drive economic and business outcomes in Quebec.
