RWDI is seeking an energetic individual to join our Geoscience team as a Co-op for four months beginning May 2026. Work will focus on projects in the Southwestern Ontario area. The position is based out of our Sarnia and Watford offices.
Key Responsibilities
The role includes but is not limited to the following duties:

Assisting with compliance monitoring programs which would include groundwater, surface water, leachate, landfill gas, air quality, and noise monitoring.

Assisting with Phased Environmental Site Assessments and Remediation under the supervision of senior staff.

Oversight of borehole advancement and monitoring well installation, as well as the detailed environmental and geotechnical logging of soil and bedrock core.

Data collection, processing, and analysis of results.

Travel is required.
-
Field work will require flexibility to travel for multi-day trips to industrial or similar facilities.

This position is to be based out of our Sarnia, Ontario office, however, considerable time is expected to be spent working in the field, including out of the Watford, Ontario field office.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
We are accepting applications from candidates with the following qualifications:
- Enrolment in post-secondary education in earth sciences (geology or hydrogeological focus), environmental engineering, or environmental technology.
- Proven problem-solving ability and resourcefulness.
- Proficiency in environmental media sampling techniques is considered an asset.
- Must be a team-oriented player.
- Ability to work to strict schedules and project milestones while maintaining product quality.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
Candidates should also possess:

Willingness to travel and to work long hours, evenings, weekends (including Sundays).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

An aptitude for attention to detail to ensure a high degree of quality assurance and quality control.

Strong people and team skills, as well as being highly motivated.

The ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with little to no supervision.

Exceptional organizational capabilities, coordination and consultation skills.

The ability to perform manual tasks and be physically fit with the ability to perform heavy lifting.

The ability to work on a number of projects at once and a proven ability to successfully meet deadlines.
