The Business Analyst II plays a critical role in supporting and enhancing corporate initiatives and tax reporting processes. This position is responsible for leading and coordinating efforts across multiple domains including Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) initiatives, RPM releases, and year-end tax reporting for Assante and CI. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in issue and defect management, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional projects.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Corporate Initiatives (EPMO):
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support strategic corporate initiatives.
- Analyze business needs and translate them into actionable project requirements.
- Participate in project planning, execution, and reporting under the EPMO framework.
Tax Reporting Enhancements:
- Identify and implement improvements to tax reporting processes and systems.
- Work closely with Tax, Technology, and Operations teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Document business requirements and support testing and validation of enhancements.
RPM Releases:
- Coordinate and support the release management process for RPM systems.
- Ensure business requirements are met and defects are tracked and resolved.
- Facilitate communication between business and technical teams during release cycles.
Assante & CI Tax Reporting – Year-End Process Lead:
- Lead the year-end tax reporting process for Assante and CI.
- Manage timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
Issue and Defect Management & Reporting:
- Monitor, track, and report on issues and defects across tax reporting and corporate initiatives.
- Work with development and QA teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain documentation and dashboards for visibility and accountability.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in financial services.
- Strong understanding of tax reporting processes and systems.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, JIRA).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with RPM or similar release management platforms.
- Familiarity with EPMO frameworks and governance.
- Knowledge of Canadian tax reporting regulations and practices.
