Role Summary

As a key member of our corporate marketing team, you will bring stories to life through visual design, often starting from copy produced by our excellent external partners. Your days will involve creating a diverse range of marketing materials, brainstorming and aligning strategies with marketing colleagues, and occasionally engaging with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to deepen your understanding of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating marketing, communication, and business development materials such as advertisements and collateral (digital and print), corporate materials, infographics, image and logo prep and proposals using Adobe Suite and Canva. It’s advantageous if you also have familiarity with (or are willing to learn) designing for use with M365, and Visme.
• Creating and presenting concepts / big ideas for campaigns, through to preparing production-ready files for print and digital distribution.
• Work directly with marketing colleagues, regional sales teams, and internal clients to present ideas, clarify scope of engagements, or align on deliverables.
• Creating and improving efficient design processes, including templating and automation for bulk design.
• Help shape and evolve the EECOL brand.
• Mentoring junior marketing team members in marketing and advertising design and production.
• Developing motion graphics, branded overlays, short-form social video. A handful of small projects as needed.

• Focus Areas: Abode Creative Suite, Canva, Visme, M365 template design
• Target Audience: Electrical buyers (residential, commercial, industrial, govt/institutional, utility), employees.
• Engagement Channels: LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, email, in-store, trade pubs, internal email, intranet.
• Collaborators: Directors, product leaders, marketing communications team, suppliers and external partners.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 5-years’ experience in a graphic design role.
• Post-secondary and ongoing education in design, fine arts or a related field
• Production and other marketing experience an asset.

Required Skills:

• Must have strong interpersonal skills and a preference for working within a team where you collaborate, consult, and build with others.
• Ability to take minimal direction, constructive criticism, manage multiple competing priorities (with input from your leader), and work independently with minimal mistakes.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Canva is mandatory.
• Can provide rationale for design recommendations based on best practices for visual layout, colour and design theory, illustration, and typography, while maintaining a collaborative approach and nurturing relationships.
• Collaborative, friendly, creative and flexible. Passionate about growth, continuous improvement and finding efficiencies.

Compensation Details $61,159 - $76,449 Annually

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.

For eligible positions, compensation may also include participation in a bonus or sales compensation plan paid according to achievement against sales targets and/or business objectives. Depending on the role, equity and other forms of compensation may also be provided as part of a total compensation package. In addition, EECOL offers a full range of benefits such as paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and retirement savings plans for eligible employees.
