Lead Restoration Technician
About the role
Adecco is actively seeking a Lead Restoration Technician to join our client's Calgary team. This hands-on, leadership-focused role involves restoring properties damaged by water, fire, smoke, or mold. You will lead emergency response efforts, mentor restoration technicians, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency situations promptly, assess property damage, and assign tasks to the restoration team.
- Perform restoration work including water, fire, and mold remediation following IICRC standards and company policies.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior technicians on-site.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Keep company vehicles, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Maintain an orderly and professional shop bay with adequate consumables.
- Complete accurate and timely paperwork and job documentation.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce hygiene standards.
- Work independently when needed and maintain high standards of quality without supervision.
- Assist with after-hours emergency calls and other leadership duties as required.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure operational excellence.
Requirements:
- Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- IICRC certification is a strong asset; prior restoration or construction experience preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Calm under pressure and able to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willing to undergo a criminal background check.
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Comfortable working in diverse conditions (hot, cold, wet, dusty).
- Flexible to work Monday-Friday, on-call evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
