Westland Insurance Group Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join our growing team. We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance professional to oversee all testing activities for a major enterprise telephony replacement project. The successful candidate will play a critical leadership role in ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of telephony systems, with a particular focus on platforms such as Genesys or similar solutions. This hybrid role is based out of our Head Office in Surrey, BC, and is a 12-month term opportunity.
Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $60,800 to $76,000 based on a 35-hour work week. Actual offered salary will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as market conditions for the role, and internal equity.

As a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst, you will design and manage comprehensive test strategies, scripts, and execution plans, while working closely with project teams, vendors, and business stakeholders. This role requires strong expertise in test script writing, DevOps practices, and Telephony systems testing, as well as proven leadership experience

Why we’ll love You:
- 8+ years of QA leadership experience, including test planning, execution, and reporting
- Hands on expertise with telephony platforms (Genesys or comparable systems)
- Strong experience in test script development, execution, and automation
- Solid understanding of DevOps pipelines, CI/CD practices, and test automation tools
- Experience across multiple testing types: functional, non-functional, regression, integration, and performance
- Familiarity with SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)
- QA certification (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) considered an asset
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional project environment
- Post-secondary degree or diploma with a focus on adult education, instructional design, or related field
Once here, you'll:
- Lead QA activities for the telephony replacement project, ensuring quality standards are defined and met throughout the lifecycle
- Develop and manage test strategies, plans, scenarios, scripts, datasets, and traceability matrices aligned with project requirements
- Oversee and execute manual tests, including unit, integration, functional, regression, end-to-end, performance, and security testing
- Provide leadership and mentorship to QA resources and coordinate testing efforts across teams and vendors
- Partner with vendors, business analysts, developers, and project managers to identify, triage, and resolve defects efficiently
- Lead defect management and ensure smooth delivery of tested stable solutions
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by guiding business testers and ensuring execution aligns with project timelines
- Implement and promote DevOps testing practices, automation frameworks, and continuous quality improvements
- Prepare and deliver test reports, defect metrics, and quality status updates to stakeholders
- Ensure QA processes align with organizational standards and industry best practices
- Act as the primary QA liaison in project and release meetings, providing expert input and guidance
