About the role

Food & Beverage Back of House Positions

Our Food and Beverage Back of House teams are always looking to provide the best experience to all of our guests and co-workers in our many venues, and restaurants. The team provides enthusiastic customer service, resolves issues in a courteous manner, and contributes to the Calgary Stampede’s world-renowned western hospitality. Here at Stampede, we provide exceptional service to our guests, clients, and internal teams. These positions are Stampede-time roles, for the Calgary Stampede celebration in July 2026.

  • Please note that some of these roles may require a valid ProServe certification and previous work experience in the role.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of our Back of House teams can include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to all guests and co-workers in a prompt and friendly manner
  • Monitoring stock levels in assigned area and re-stocking as required
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area
  • Providing administrative and payroll support and reconciliation (Administrative Roles)
  • Food preparation such as washing, cutting, chopping, weighing of food items for venue or concession
  • Operating a specific food station at assigned venue/concession including a grill or fryer
  • Cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
  • Performing warehouse duties
  • Adhering to all safety, environmental and regulatory programs and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment

Positions that work with the Stampede Food and Beverage Back of House teams include:

  • Stock Person
  • Stock Supervisor (previous supervisory experience is required)
  • Venue Maintenance (including cleaning, garbage maintenance, recycling management)
  • Station Supervisor (previous supervisory experience is required)
  • Administrative Assistant (previous administrative experience is required)
  • Warehouse
  • Concession Cooks
  • Concession Food Preparation
  • Steward/Dishwasher

Please note that all applicants will be required to:

  • Be 18 years of age or older by June 2026
  • Be legally entitled to work for any employer in Canada
  • Have a Social Insurance Number
  • Have a bank account in their own name
  • Must successfully participate in a criminal background check
  • Be available to work for all 10 days of the Calgary Stampede
  • Complete and comply with all required training and policies
