##Name and description of the hiring department:

As part of the Bell Controllers organization, the Accounting Services Tax Remittance team is responsible for the Commodity Tax and Non-Resident Vendor Withholding Tax reconciliations and remittances for BCE and its subsidiaries.

##Job Duties / Accountabilities:

  • Analyse and reconcile multiple Commodity Tax, Non-Resident Vendor Withholding Tax, 911 Tax & Recycling Fee related Balance Sheet GL accounts
  • Execute Weekly and Monthly Commodity Tax, Non-Resident Vendor Withholding Tax, 911 Tax and Recycling Fee Tax Remittances
  • Prepare and process Tax related journal entries to the General Ledger
  • Prepare various reports and analysis as required
  • Perform Daily tasks in Bell Canada’s Accounts Payable Self Service (APSS) system to review requirements related to non-resident withholding taxes
  • Perform Daily tasks in Bell Canada’s Purchase Order (PO) system in SAP to review requirements related to non-resident withholding taxes
  • Ensure urgent requests for APSS & PO’s are handled in a timely manner
  • Manage emails received from the business units

##Essential Qualifications / Competencies:

  • MS Excel Intermediate knowledge (pivot table, formulas)
  • MS Word Basic knowledge
  • Knowledge of English Required = In the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across Canada
  • Analytical and detail oriented
  • Autonomous, creative, able to work with strict deadlines in a changing environment
  • Able to communicate well by telephone, in writing or in person
  • Able to effectively and efficiently follow up on all open issues with departments and different business units
  • Team player oriented and able to perform various tasks within a small team
  • Be open to continuous changes & improvements

##Preferred skills/Competencies:

  • Accounting/Finance working experience or equivalent training
  • Knowledge of tax related accounting principles
  • Diploma of collegial studies in business/commerce
  • Knowledge of SAP.

##Working Conditions:

  • Work schedule consists of 5 days/week (Monday-Friday) regular business hours starting at 7:00 am
  • Fast paced environment with high volume of transactions
  • Flexibility for overtime
  • Understand and retain detailed instructions
  • Sitting position at a computer, use of a mouse

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
