The Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services is offering a unique opportunity within the West Region to bring your analytical, communication, and organizational strengths to the Licensing and Compliance Unit.
As a Program Support Coordinator, you will contribute to regional planning, oversight, and continuous improvement of social services programs by providing research, analysis, consultation, and project coordination. You will support senior management, regional staff, and community agencies in delivering high-quality, accountable services all while helping identify emerging issues, advancing integrated service models, and strengthening compliance and program effectiveness across the region.

In this role, you will:

Monitor and evaluate children's residential programs' compliance with regulations and ministry policies

Complete correspondence and inspection reports for external and internal stakeholders

Prepare communication products including Minister's drafts, Regional Director's letters, contentious issues and client/agency updates, and briefing and event notes
-
Respond to complaints regarding licensed children's residential programs
These positions involve frequent travel to community agencies throughout the region
##What you bring to the team
###Technical Knowledge
You have:
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply ministry legislation, regulations, program and policy directives as well as general knowledge of provincial/federal legislation
- Proven ability to acquire and apply social service agencies and program sectors to review services and service delivery, and identify gaps and opportunities
- Knowledge of budget principles and practices to best utilize available resources
###Communication and Interpersonal Skills
You have:
- Experience effectively collaborating with colleagues, clients and agencies in a team environment
- Proven experience determining compliance/non-compliance when conducting reviews/investigations
- Demonstrated written communication skills to develop a variety of documents including letters, presentation materials, synthesizing information and developing Licensing and Compliance reports/documents
###Project Management Skills
You have:
- Experience using a project management approach and tools to effectively coordinate and monitor multiple activities
- Organization skills to track multiple projects and maintain progress toward achieving identified deliverables
###Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
You have:
- Knowledge of policy analysis, planning and analysis techniques to conduct analytical assignments using data and statistics to assess compliance, formulate recommendations and monitor performance trends
- Proven problem solving skills to identify issues, define gaps, analyze impacts, perform research, and facilitate resolutions
###Computer Skills
- You have proficiency with computer applications to conduct research, interpret and analyze data, and create a variety of material (e.g. letters, presentations, briefing and event notes)
