About The Role
We partner with the world's leading AI research teams to build and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. Right now, we're looking for experienced cloud security practitioners to help us make AI smarter about how cloud environments actually fail in the real world.
Your hands-on knowledge of AWS, GCP, and Azure — the misconfigurations, the blast radii, the incidents you've seen unfold — is exactly what's needed to train the next generation of AI security systems. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role that fits around your schedule.
Organization: Alignerr Type: Contract / Task-Based Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
Analyze real-world cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks and failure patterns Review and evaluate IAM, networking, storage, and container security issues Classify security gaps, misconfigurations, and cloud-related failures based on real-world impact Validate and improve AI-generated security reasoning so it accurately reflects how cloud incidents unfold Provide structured, expert feedback that directly improves AI security capabilities
Who You Are
2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud environments in production Solid understanding of cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security Familiarity with real-world misconfigurations, security incidents, and how they escalate Able to reason clearly about blast radius, risk exposure, and business impact Strong written communication — you can explain complex security concepts clearly
Nice to Have
Experience with cloud security certifications (AWS Security Specialty, CCSP, etc.) Background in incident response, penetration testing, or cloud architecture Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK Cloud or CSA CCM
