Rentco's Tool Shed (a division of Rentco Equipment Ltd.) is a local company that has been servicing Grande Prairie and the Peace Country for over 60 years. They provide the tools and equipment to complete home-owner repairs and maintenance. Rentco's Tool Shed is also a "go-to" place in Grande Prairie for event rentals, permanent holiday lighting, and Stihl and Husqvarna tools.

We are currently looking for a full-time Yard Hand/Labourer based out of our Grande Prairie Tool Shed.
As the Yard Hand/Labourer, you are responsible for:

• Accurately and efficiently preparing rental equipment for customers
• Testing equipment and showing customers how to operate equipment as required
• Overseeing the secure and accurate loading and unloading of equipment
• Performing routine checks on rental equipment to ensure it is safe and in good working order using the rental tagging system
• Inspecting returned equipment for damages and reporting any damages to counter staff immediately
• Ensuring that the yard and shop is neat, organized, and safe by putting equipment in proper locations and ensuring that debris and snow is cleared
• Preparing records of incoming, outgoing, or damaged equipment as required per Rentco procedures
• Washing and fuel equipment, including the washing of event rentals
• Completing the set-up and take down of event tents & rentals, and Christmas lights

You have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Ability to work Monday to Friday from either 8-5 or 9-6 and on a Saturday rotation with increased hours, including Sundays during the spring and summer
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as a part of a team
• Ability to communicate in writing and perform basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and skid steers
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritizing skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Strong work ethic and a positive team attitude
• Class 5 licence with a clean driver’s abstract, would be an asset
