About the role
Cognizant is seeking an experienced AWS L3 Application Support Specialist for a full-time opportunity in Toronto, ON.
Cognizant’s CIS (Cognizant Infrastructure Services) Practice is a global leader in providing IT infrastructure services. In this role, you will:
- Provide Application and User Support.
- Manage and resolve production application issues, including batch job failures.
- Work with AWS, Batch Monitoring and Processing tools like TWS, Control , M or Autosys.
- Address and resolve user queries promptly like data related query and access issues, providing guidance and troubleshooting assistance
- Release Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate weekend releases from a support perspective.
- SSL Certificate Management: Manage and renew SSL certificates for client applications, knowledge of Lunix and shell / Python scripting
- Report Maintenance and Enhancements: Basic knowledge on maintaining and enhancing Jasper reports and DQF reports (internal tool that requires SQL knowledge)
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Perform RCA for production issues and document findings; submit Jira for tracking.
- Testing: Conduct testing of production defect fixes in the staging environment to validate solutions before deployment.
What you will need to succeed (required skills):
- 4 years of experience with AWS (Deployment of Application using CloudFormation based Stack Sets in AWS).
- 4 years of experience with Oracle/PL/SQL procedures
- 3 years of experience with Python and Unix Shell scripting.
- Knowledge of Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence, and other DevOps Technologies.
- Exposure to Java.
