About the role

We have a relief part-time (0.50 FTE) Occupational Therapist opening in Kimberley’s Primary Care. This position’s schedule is Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

About the position:
This position is in Primary Care providing service to patients with occupational therapy needs in the community. The Occupational Therapist plays a key role in providing assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education to patients and/or their caregivers. Operating within a client-centered approach and as an essential member of our interdisciplinary team, you make a substantial contribution to promote functional independence and enable patients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes.

Primary Care Centres are community-based networks of health care professionals and clinics who plan and deliver all day-to-day health care needs of a community. Within these networks teams of providers work together closely. In this is way, patients receive better care, by the right person, at the right time, closer to home.

  • Graduation from a recognized occupational therapy program.
  • Full practicing registration as an Occupational Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC). Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
  • Valid BC Driver’s license.
