Production Labourer
Join Our Team at Haakon Industries! We are currently seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to join our team as Production Labourers. As a global leader in the design and manufacture of custom HVAC units, Haakon Industries offers a dynamic and innovative work environment that values hands-on skills and encourages career growth. This position is a general entry point into our production team, where employees will receive hands on training and gain experience across multiple areas within the factory. Based on skills, experience and business needs, team members may work in: Assembly Wall Assembly Finishing Electrical Assembly Sheet Metal What We Offer: Competitive Compensation: $21.80 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience Stable Full-Time Schedule: Consistent hours throughout the year Climate-Controlled Work Environment: Heated and air-conditioned workspace Comprehensive Benefits Package: Employer-paid medical, dental, and life insurance Paid Holiday and Wellness Program: Support for physical and mental well-being Company-Sponsored Events: Team-building and social activities Boot Allowance: Safety boot reimbursement Career Advancement Opportunities: Professional growth and development in a thriving company Collaborative and Respectful Work Culture: A team-oriented environment that values mutual respect and open communication Key Responsibilities Physical Labour: Perform physically demanding tasks to support production activities, utilizing manual dexterity and attention to detail Physical Activity: Stand, walk, crawl, lift, and carry heavy items as required to support production, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment Construction and Assembly: Install exterior and interior walls, components, and roof sections on unit bases, and install doors to create complete units Blueprint Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret blueprints to guide fabrication and assembly processes, demonstrating attention to detail Metal Fabrication: Skillfully fit and fabricate metal products to meet design specifications Measurement and Calculation: Use measuring tools to perform mathematical calculations, including converting fractions to decimals, to ensure precision and accuracy Tool Operation: Operate air and electric hand tools efficiently to complete tasks effectively Working at Heights: Work comfortably from heights and ladders to perform necessary duties Problem-Solving: Resolve issues when components do not fit as expected, analyzing why they may not align and implementing solutions to ensure proper assembly Independent Work: Perform tasks independently with minimal supervision to meet production goals Team Collaboration: Work effectively in a team environment with strong verbal and written communication skills Welding: Execute various types of welding with proficiency to ensure high-quality assembly Job Type Full-time, indoor position Salary Range $21.80 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience Requirements At least 1 year of experience in construction At least 1 year of experience as a skilled labourer Job Location Kingston, ON Shift Schedule Rotating early morning and afternoon shifts (Monday – Friday 5:45am - 2:15pm and Monday – Thursday 2:30pm - 12:30am) Every other Friday off Weekend shifts not required (occasional overtime is not mandatory and is dependent on factory needs) Reliable transportation is required This job posting is for an existing vacancy.
