Reporting to the Foreman, the Rubber Tire Loader Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a Loader. This position operates loaders equipment with front-mounted bucket, spoon, or forks to transport aggregate or other construction materials, feed hoppers, chutes or other equipment and stockpile aggregates.
How You’ll Add Value
- Actively contribute to the safety culture, promoting a safe and productive work environment
- Operate the loader forks and attachments
- Operate other heavy equipment and perform construction-related duties as needed
- Perform daily maintenance, safety checks, routine cleaning, and servicing to ensure smooth operation
- Understand and follow directions from the supervisor based on the work area requirements
- Understand construction materials, processes, and industry requirements
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of ground disturbance issues and safety protocols
- Utilize computerized controls and electronics for efficient equipment operation
- Perform in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt Operate additional heavy equipment as required to support project needs
What You Bring
- 1+ years of experience operating a loader in heavy civil construction
- Understanding of road construction materials, processes, and industry requirements
- Strong awareness of ground disturbance issues, computerized controls, and electronics
- Physically able to safely lift and carry 25 lbs regularly
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a Driver’s Abstract showing no more than 6 demerits and no major infractions
Note: Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Testing will be required.
