About the role
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Front-End Developer to join our growing web development team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating exceptional user experiences and a deep understanding of modern front-end technologies. You will be responsible for leading the development of robust and scalable web applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior developers.
The Senior Front-End Developer will report to the Vice President, Enterprise Applications & PMO.
What are the primary responsibilities of this role?
- Architect, design, develop, and maintain high-performance web applications using modern front-end frameworks.
- Collaborate with back-end developers to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Mentor and guide junior developers on best practices and technical skills.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging front-end technologies and industry trends.
What skills do I need to have for this role?
- Proven expertise with modern versions of Angular with a strong portfolio of projects. You should be comfortable building complex applications from scratch and maintaining large-scale codebases in either or both frameworks.
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Kendo UI (or equivalent) Component Libraries for Angular.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3/Sass.
- Experience with state management patterns and libraries (e.g., NgRx).
- Strong knowledge & experience of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
- In-depth knowledge & experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
- A strong understanding of modern CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions).
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git (Github).
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- A solid understanding of UI/UX principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for creating intuitive and responsive user interfaces.
What are the preferred qualifications/educational background for this role?
- University degree
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in front-end web development.
