What to Expect: We are looking for a Payroll Coordinator based at our North York Location. This role will be ensuring all Nestlé employees are paid accurately and on time, while focusing on flawless execution of defined best practice and demonstrating a commitment to sustaining the highest level of service to our employees. This position is an existing vacancy.
A day in the life: As a Payroll Coordinator you will be working within a team of Payroll Specialists and Coordinators, responsible for the production and administration of Nestlé in Canada payroll.
You will also:
- Administer multiple payrolls with multiple pay frequencies, ensuring consistent application of defined controls
and audits per Nestlé compliance regulations.
- Ensure all payroll systems and processes are compliant with government requirements.
- Create process documentations and payroll reports.
- Consistently review a team member’s payroll on a pre-transmission basis to ensure data integrity and controls
per Nestle Compliance regulations are maintained.
- Provide front line support for payroll enquiries and issue resolution, while prioritizing workloads in order to
ensure deadlines are met. Escalate issues to HR Representatives as required.
- Process Year End Maintenance runs after close of year (Jan – Feb) prior to Tax Form generation.
- Ensure all year end government reporting slips and filings are completed accurately and filed with the
appropriate government agency in a timely manner.
- Administration of HR invoice payments, purchase orders and payment of supplier invoices
Role Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a Human Resources or Finance program or business-related discipline.
- A result and detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Assertive, well-organized with the ability to adapt to change.
- Attention to detail and accuracy a must.
- Team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively across all functions and levels.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Superior telephone manner with demonstrated customer service skills.
- Must be comfortable working in a demanding, fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
Preferred Skills
- Bilingualism (French/English)
- Strong computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word,); SAP R/3 experience
