We have a unique opportunity for an engineering student to gain hands-on experience supporting a range of nuclear industry design engineering projects. You'll contribute to emergent issue resolution, perform engineering calculations and analyses, support maintenance and procurement activities, assist with minor design changes, and provide input on Major Component Replacement (MCR) projects.

This role offers real-world technical experience that goes beyond the classroom. You'll roll up your sleeves and apply textbook knowledge and lab skills to solve meaningful challenges in the nuclear sector. Most importantly, you'll be a catalyst for innovation, bringing curiosity, creativity, and a passion for problem-solving to everything you do. This position requires occasional site visits to Bruce Power. Compensation: $26-31/hr (Exact compensation may vary)

Here's How You'll Make an Impact

• Work with fellow design engineers and other stakeholders to create designs which meet and exceed the customer's expectations
• Review design documentation, technical specifications, applicable codes & standards, and implementation and test plans
• Participate in walk-downs of various equipment in the plant
• Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
• Support the management of the day-to-day activities of projects, communicate with stakeholder teams as necessary to ensure project deliverables meet quality expectations
• Develop and lead internal innovation projects
• Support research into new technology and potential applications in the nuclear industry
• Support technical advancement projects
• Continually incorporate lessons learned into internal processes and future design work
