Full-time Education Assistant
About the role
Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a Full-time (1.0 FTE) Education Assistant at Grasmere School, Alberta Beach, Alberta.
Successful candidates' responsibilities:
- Working with students one-on-one & in small groups in a classroom setting
Teacher Assistants Qualifications:
- Educational Assistant Certificate (desirable)
Preference will be given to candidates who:
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents and staff
- Work collaboratively and co-operatively with teachers and other educational assistants in the classroom/school
- Understand and carry out oral and written direction
- Work independently with minimal instruction
- Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills
- Respect confidentiality
- Practice professionalism with all Grasmere School students, staff, administration, parents and public
- Are aware of NGPS policies and administrative procedures
- Have an understanding of the teaching/learning process
- Have strong interpersonal skills and patience
- Enjoys working in a team environment
Start Date:
- March 23, 2026
Hours:
- 6 hours a day, 5 days a week
Wage Rate:
- $20.44/hour - $29.65/hour depending on qualifications and experience
