What You'll Be Doing CIBC Global Asset Management is among the largest asset managers in Canada with over $200 billion in assets under management. CIBC Global Asset Management offers and supports a variety of investment products to meet the needs of investors in the Institutional and Retail market segments.
The Manager, Institutional Marketing will join a dynamic marketing team and support the marketing strategy and events for CIBC Asset Management’s Institutional business. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Institutional Marketing, the successful candidate will play a key role in developing high-quality marketing content for products and investment campaigns, and supporting the execution of industry partnerships and client events. This is a highly collaborative role, partnering across the entire business, working closely with Investment teams, Institutional Consultant Relations, Business Development, Client Servicing, and the Wealth Marketing team to bring the Institutional marketing strategy to life. To increase the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the firm’s resources, the position will also contribute to new continuous improvement ideas and initiatives within the team to ensure the best outcomes are delivered to business partners and our clients.

- Product marketing and content development. Support the development of positioning and messaging for investment strategies and assist with regular updates and a range of marketing materials including pitch decks, one-pagers, digital content, communications, social media.
- Sponsorship and event coordination. Support the sponsorship and events calendar, including virtual events, client events, and industry sponsorships through seamless execution and delivery of pre-and-post event support.
- Project and program management. Ability to manage complex projects that can involve many deliverables. Capable of managing multiple projects at one time with a strategic view of overall program and business strategy. Remains current with rapidly evolving financial services industry trends and is able to assess impact on strategy and marketing positioning. Balances needs of multiple stakeholders in the most effective and efficient manner, with the ability to meet tight delivery timelines.
- Measure impact. Analyze measures of success for marketing campaigns and share progress, insights, and recommendations for optimizing results with other team members and leaders across the organization. Partner with cross functional teams to ensure sharing and capturing new learnings as a way to strengthen our work.
- Relationship and stakeholder management: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including sales and product to understand the business objectives and identify marketing opportunities.
Who You Are
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Marketing or Economics, or a designation such as the CFA or CIM.
- You can demonstrate 5+ years in product marketing, investment marketing, or content development within asset management or financial services, and are familiar with the institutional investment industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word to analyze and convey information in various ways.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- You have experience using and drawing value out of sales enablement platforms such as Seismic and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- You understand that success is in the details. You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.
