About the role
At Flaman, we don’t just sell equipment; we protect the harvest. We keep farmers moving, their grain safe, and their operations running at peak efficiency. We need experts who are technically savvy, highly observant, and ready to go exactly where the work is.
We’re looking for a Grain Monitoring Specialist who is ready to hit the road and get hands-on. You’ll be traveling across Saskatchewan, climbing bins, and using advanced tech to ensure our customers' grain stays in top condition. If you have a "safety-first" mindset and a passion for agricultural technology, you’ll fit right in.
What Your Day Might Look Like:
- On-Site Quality Control: Travel to farms and facilities across the province to assess grain quality, ensuring everything meets industry standards and preventing contamination before it starts.
- Tech Integration: Install, maintain, and utilize cutting-edge monitoring systems. You’ll be the go-to person for troubleshooting hardware and software in the field.
- Working at Heights: Get a bird's-eye view of the operation. You’ll regularly climb grain bins and perform inspections at elevated heights to ensure sensors and storage conditions are optimal.
- Data-Driven Insights: Analyze inventory levels and storage capacity data to generate reports that help our customers make smart, data-driven decisions.
- Road Warrior Logistics: Manage your own travel schedule across Saskatchewan, representing Flaman on the front lines and collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve storage issues promptly.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Physical Agility: You are comfortable working at heights and have the strength and stamina to climb bins and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Technical & Electrical Aptitude: A basic understanding of electrical wiring and wiring concepts is a huge asset for setting up monitoring hardware.
- Ag Background: A certificate in Agronomy or relevant experience in grain management, inventory, or a related agricultural role.
- Analytical Mindset: A keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret data from monitoring software to spot trends or potential risks.
- Independence & Reliability: You’re a self-starter who can manage a travel schedule and work effectively on your own while staying connected to the Saskatoon home base.
Why You’ll Love Working with Flaman:
- Competitive Pay and a comprehensive benefits package (Medical, Dental, Vision).
- Adventure & Autonomy: The freedom to travel the province and work in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
- Financial Security: A group pension plan with employer matching and disability insurance.
- The Flaman Values: A supportive team that believes in Customer Responsibility, Achievement of Goals, and Making Things Better for our communities.
