WHAT’S THE TEAM LIKE
The Accounting & Finance Team provides oversight, direction, and support in all aspects of accounting at The Calgary Airport Authority. The team works closely and collaboratively with both internal and external partners in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES

Review invoices for completeness and verify basic information such as amounts and dates.

Review aging reports to identify accounts requiring follow‑up based on established criteria.

Match transactions, perform three‑way matching (invoice, purchase order, receipt), and review for discrepancies through established processes.

Generate invoices and ensure accurate recording of receivables.

Respond to vendor/customer inquiries via email and phone.

Assist with preparation of payment requests for EFT, cheques, bill payments, wires in USD and CAD.

Receive and process customer payments including EFTs, cheques, bill payments, and wire transfers (USD and CAD).

Assist with identifying outstanding items by gathering information and supporting documentation.

Support month‑end activities by preparing routine reports and providing requested data.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING
- You’ll need to be eligible to obtain and maintain a RAIC, don’t worry – we’ll help you through this! For more details, check out: RAIC Program and Application Information
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a related role.
- Basic understanding of basic accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including reconciliations and accruals.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and financial reporting.
WHAT****ADDITIONAL SKILLS ARE AN ASSET
- Bilingual in English and French
- Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred
