Position Overview
As Inventory Control Coordinator at Cabot Cape Breton, you will assist in optimizing the resort's inventory management processes. With a focus on Cabot’s Golf Retail operations, your responsibilities will include tracking stock levels, conducting regular audits, and assisting in the development of efficient ordering strategies. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the seamless flow of goods and ensure that inventory is accurately recorded and monitored. This position offers a valuable opportunity to develop skills in a career in high-end retail and inventory control within the hospitality industry while contributing to Cabot Cape Breton's commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences through efficient resource management. You will also work scheduled shifts as a Golf Shop Retail Associate in our Golf Shops. This will provide you with a full understanding of our retail operations and how your work in receiving/inventory directly contributes to the business as a whole.

- Golf Culture: Working with golf enthusiasts and professionals in a hospitality setting, the successful candidate should have a strong understanding of the fundamentals of the game.
- Collaborative Supply Chain Management: Working closely with and providing support to the Shipping and Receiving Team, actively contributing to the efficient management of supply chain activities.
- Inventory Oversight: Leading inventory counts and reconciliation at month-end, ensuring compliance with established inventory procedures to maintain accuracy.
- Precise Data Management: Ensuring that received goods are accurately entered into the YellowDog inventory management system, maintaining data integrity.
- Thorough Product Inspection: Vigilantly assisting receiving products, verifying their alignment with purchase orders, and cross-referencing with invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Adaptability: Embracing flexibility by being open to performing other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the team's success and adaptability to changing needs.
Preferred Qualifications And Skills
- High school diploma, post-secondary education in Accounting or Supply Chain Management a definite asset
- 2-3 years’ experience working in a retail setting in s leadership capacity
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience with information systems and inventory software an asset (Yellow Dog)
- Communication skills (verbal / written)
- Customer and service focus
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Works well in a team environment
- High attention to detail.
Requirements Of The Role You Should Be Aware Of
- Based on the nature of our business and the service we provide to our guests, to work with us, you must consent to a criminal background check as a condition of employment and an additional criminal background check every two years.
- As a seasonal resort business, you can anticipate a schedule that will involve day, evening, night, and weekend work.
- Consistent standing and walking during the entire shift, occasional lifting and transporting of heavy loads exceeding 80 lbs, sporadic instances of kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting, as well as occasional ascents and descents of ladders, stairs, and ramps.
