Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Manager of Human Resources, the Senior Human Resources Officer provides day-to-day support on diverse range of human resources (HR) activities. The Senior Human Resources Officer will provide advice, technical guidance, and administration services in relations to compensation, benefits, recruitment, training and development, and orientation. The Senior Human Resources Officer will also assist with investigations, pay equity, policy and procedures, quality assurance, labour relations, and performance management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field may be considered.
- Completion of the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is required or in the process of completing.
- Five years in human resources and/or business administration; preferably in a generalist or specialist role.
- Experience with a Human Resources Information System preferably ADP.
- Ability to work flexible hours as determined by the Manager of Human Resources in relation to service requirements.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle.
- Must complete a criminal records check.
Hours of Work: 35 weekly
