As a Chapter Lead - Commercial Finance in the Finance, Insights & Business Services division, you will hold a critical leadership role in the Canadian affiliate, acting as a strategic sparring partner for the commercial business and leading a motivated and high-performing team of Finance Enterprise Partners.
You will foster an environment that promotes value creation and customer centricity within an agile environment, leveraging your in-depth business understanding and financial expertise to inspire your team and the organization to drive initiatives critical to delivering the outcomes and our ambitions within the Canadian affiliate.
The Opportunity
- Leading and developing an high-performing, customer-focused Business Finance team, fostering an empowering environment that promotes growth and value creation
- Overseeing the provision of comprehensive financial support and insights to the entire organization incl. Squads and functional areas, enabling sound business and prioritization decisions to achieve strategic outcomes
- Navigating financial challenges and opportunities within a dynamic and strategically critical market, ensuring alignment with broader international objectives within Pharma business
- Driving short- and long-term financial strategic corporate planning (revenues, costs, headcounts), shaping critical business decisions, especially amidst uncertainty or strategic shifts
- Actively supporting projects in Finance within Pharma business by providing local resources or active participation
- Serving as the primary contact for the Enterprise Center of Excellence (eCoE), facilitating monthly exchanges on financial performance and outlook
- Simplifying the end-to-end processes and leveraging digital technologies to enhance customer and patient outcomes. Contributing to the finance function's strategic evolution and culture of innovation
Who You Are You are an entrepreneurial, assertive, and globally-minded leader with a proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders in an international matrix environment. You consistently demonstrate your ability to advocate for your ideas and decisions with conviction. You are driven to innovate, create, and build, always seeking new avenues for growth and improvement. This combination of traits makes you a formidable force, capable of leading and inspiring others while also navigating complex challenges with a strategic and forward-thinking mindset. In addition, you also:
- You hold a Bachelor degree in Business with a focus on Finance/Controlling and possess 10+ years of experience in finance/business partner roles, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry and an international environment
- You demonstrate strong people leadership skills, with 5+ years of people management experience with a proven track record of coaching and empowering teams to achieve results, while actively applying VACC (Visionary, Architect, Coach, Catalyst) leadership principles
- You possess high consulting competence at a strategic level, demonstrating proven ability to partner, assertively challenge, and successfully lead members of senior management within a matrix organization
- You have strategic vision and agility, strong entrepreneurial thinking, and outstanding Commercial business acumen
- You possess strong interpersonal skills, collaboration, and high social competence, coupled with the ability to initiate and drive change, improve business processes, and adjust to a fast-changing environment (resilience)
- You demonstrate the ability to work under time pressure and still deliver high-quality work with short processing times
- You have excellent presentation and communication skills in English. Good knowledge of the French language is a plus.
