We currently have 3 permanent full-time vacancies and 4 temporary full-time vacancies in Northern BC. Applicants who do not fully meet the required qualifications may be considered for this position, but at a lower classification. Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to one (1) day at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.

Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) Clinician

$90,774.07 - $103,579.21 annually, which includes a 4 Grid Market Adjustment

Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) teams across Northern BC are made up of dedicated professionals working in communities that span vast and diverse geographies.

We work in partnership with Northern Health, school districts, and Indigenous organizations to meet local needs with compassion and innovation. This is a region where clinicians make a visible and lasting impact, and where you’re supported by a tight-knit team that values collaboration. As a CYMH Clinician, you’ll support the mental wellness of children, youth, and families through direct clinical services such as intake, assessment, treatment, suicide risk assessment, safety planning, and crisis intervention for ages 0–18. Working flexibly across homes, schools, communities, and offices, you’ll collaborate with professionals including educators, healthcare providers, Indigenous service organizations, and community agencies to deliver holistic care.

Qualifications for this role include

Master’s degree in Counselling, Social Work, Educational Counselling, Clinical Counselling, Clinical Psychology or Child and Youth Care or comparable graduate degree at the Master’s level in a similar subject may be considered. Minimum of one (1) year full-time equivalent experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following

Applicants with 2+ years of experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services. Applicants who self-identify as having an Indigenous heritage (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit) with the required combination of education and experience.
