We are accepting applications expressing interest to work in our Emergency Warming Centre. Please see the Employee Notification emailed on October 24, 2025 for further information on hours of work, etc.
This vital role is responsible to help vulnerable people and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all. Maintaining basic logs and records will help determine overall usage of the Centre. Ensuring protocols and procedures are adhered to is a large component of the work. Ultimately, our ability to offer a warm and welcoming Centre is the crux of all positions at our Emergency Warming Centre.
Requirements for this role include experience working in emergency shelters or relevant support services, the ability to problem solve and take initiative in addressing issues while working with disadvantaged and potentially challenging people in a diverse environment. Training and experience in crisis intervention are also needed, as well as:
- First Aid Certificated
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate – Level C
- BC Drivers Licence
Applications will be considered based on experience, with senior candidates chosen.
