Count Team Lead (Part-time) - Port Perry
About the role
Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel is seeking a Part-time Count Team Lead!
Reporting to the Operations Managers, the Count Team Leader holds accountability for safeguarding casino assets of the assigned area. They are responsible for overseeing Count Team Members and ensuring accuracy of the daily drops and counts. The Count Team Leader promotes the values of the Great Blue Heron Cultural Compass by example at all times and guide staff in adopting these values as a way of operating daily at the Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel.
The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills and abilities, executing the following in support of the company’s vision, mission and values:
- Monitor procedures relating to the operations of the count rooms and their compliance with the approved system of accounting and ICM
- Maintain neat concise and accurate documentation
- Ensure opening, sorting, counting, recording and amalgamation of monies/tokens from the drops is accurate
- Controlling and accounting for the activity within the count rooms
- Ensuring that routes are followed and on time
- Assist the Cage Supervisor in the development of employee competence, morale and efficiency through effective and fair performance management including discipline, conflict resolution, coaching and performance review
- To effectively schedule and replace absent staff to ensure adequate staffing levels
- Maintain up to date knowledge and adherence to all regulations set forth by the company and department and the AGCO Performs other duties assigned by the Operations Managers
Successful applicants will demonstrate the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working as a Count Team Member
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both oral and written
- A competent level of mathematical abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull heavy objects up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended period of time which includes bending, stopping or kneeling as required.
- A sound knowledge of casino policies & procedures, ICM’s, other relevant government regulations/legislation with the ability to read, understand and implement them effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills to maintain good rapport with customers and employees Ability to perform tasks and duties effectively and safely within prescribed time limits
Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights. The hours of work will be based on operational needs. Ready to embark on your next adventure?
