1.0 Temporary IT Intermediate Customer Support Technician- North Region
Effective Immediately
Location: North Region: North Bay and Surrounding Communities including Sturgeon Falls and Mattawa
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Integrate, test, configure, deploy, upgrade, maintain, and decommission all platforms, software, hardware, and applications used in a classroom, school office, or Board Office environment.
- Respond to support and training requests received through a Help Desk Management system or as directed by Customer Support Supervisor. Assist and support all users (staff, students, parents or guardians) with NNDSB promoted applications.
- Respond to and resolve hardware, software, and network related service interruptions. Document problem resolution and assist in maintaining knowledge base.
Qualifications**:**
- Minimum two year post-secondary diploma program in Computer Technology, Engineering, or in a related computer technology field.
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in desktop and customer support services.
- Vendor Specific Technical Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Apple Certified Associate and/or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are all considered assets.
Skills Required**:**
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft, Apple, and Google operating systems, platforms, hardware devices, and office productivity suites.
- Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service and satisfaction. Excellent technical diagnostic skills with the ability to work independently.
- In depth working knowledge of micro/personal computer system technologies and peripherals, including operating systems, use and capabilities of application software, use of LAN/WAN and/or telecommunications networks, diagnostic software, anti-virus programs, and recovery procedures
Other Requirements:
- Valid class “G” driver’s license and vehicle are required
Rate of pay**:** $29.16 to $31.98 per hour
