Summary of Position

The Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the McCormick Care Foundation. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position is responsible for donor database administration, gift processing, financial administration, event coordination, and general office support. The successful candidate will ensure the integrity of donor information, maintain compliance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) receipting requirements, and provide exceptional customer service while supporting the Foundation's fundraising and operational activities.

This is a full-time, onsite position based on a four-day work week.

Accountability Objective

Ensure the accurate and timely processing of all charitable donations while maintaining compliance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) receipting requirements. Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of the Foundation's donor database and financial records. Provide efficient administrative and operational support to the Executive Director and Foundation office. Coordinate administrative activities related to fundraising events, sponsorships, donor stewardship, and financial reporting. Deliver exceptional customer service to donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community stakeholders. Support the Foundation's financial administration through accurate processing, record management, and documentation. Maintain organized filing, records management, and document retention practices in accordance with organizational policies. Foster continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance administrative processes, efficiency, and data quality. Contribute to the successful planning and execution of Foundation events and initiatives. Uphold the values, policies, confidentiality standards, and professional expectations of the McCormick Care Foundation while supporting its mission to advance excellence in care.

Background/Qualifications

Postsecondary education in Business Administration, Office Administration, Fundraising, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum two years of administrative experience, preferably within the charitable or not- for-profit sector. Experience working with Blackbaud donor database systems is considered an asset. Experience processing financial transactions with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and professional ethics. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to use tact and diplomacy to deal positively with residents, visitors and the public is essential. Ability to work with senior leadership, volunteers, residents, clients, families and all staff members in a consistent, professional, mature and sensitive manner.

  • Full-time, onsite position. Four-day work week. Occasional evening or weekend work will be required to support Foundation fundraising events. Ability to lift and move event materials up to approximately 25 lbs as required.

Competitive salary ranging from $30,000 to $40,000, commensurate with experience, plus comprehensive group benefits. Three weeks of paid vacation.
