JOB POSTING ATA 25/2 6-26 Albert Lacombe School Grade 1 and 2 Music, Division 1 Religion and Core Subjects Temporary Part Time – 0.545 FTE
Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools is located on the original lands of the Cree, those of Treaty 6, and on the homeland of the Métis nation. Qualifications & Duties
- Committed to being a model and witness to Christ-centered education values and beliefs.
- Apply foundational knowledge about First Nations, Métis and Inuit for the benefit of all students, and support the Division's goals towards advancing Truth and Reconciliation.
- Possess a Bachelor of Education and valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.
- College Certificate in Catholic Education is considered an asset.
- Experience and/or specialization in a Division 1 setting.
- Experience working with children who have diverse learning needs and who require specialized accommodations and strategies to support those needs.
- Experience using specific proactive strategies such as visual supports, sensory supports, positive behavior support strategies and communication strategies.
- Experience with the implementation of Individual Program Plans (IPP's).
- Committed to working as a collaborative team with an Educational Assistant.
- Good interpersonal skills working closely with families.
- Experience/Interest in using various technology tools to assist learning (e.g. SmartBoards and iPads).
- Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm.
