About the role
CGI has a global alliance program that encompasses select strategic partners including Snowflake. Each global alliance is managed by a Global Council composed of the Executive Sponsor, Global Alliance Manager, and an Alliance Lead from each strategic business unit (SBU).
The objective of the program is to strengthen our alliances to the mutual benefit of CGI and the alliance partner, bringing growth to the organization. The Alliance Lead in each SBU plays a critical role in ensuring that each SBU has inputs into the development of the alliance and benefits from it.
Your future duties and responsibilities
As the Snowflake Canada Alliance Lead, you will own the strategic partnership with Snowflake for the Canada SBU. Specifically, you will:
Develop and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Snowflake alliance in Canada, ensuring alignment with Snowflake and CGI organizational goals
Serve as the primary point of contact for Snowflake in Canada, managing the relationship and ensuring effective communication between all parties across Snowflake, CGI Canada, and CGI’s global alliance team
Work with all Business Unit leaders and their leadership teams across Canada to create and execute a Snowflake alliance business plan including marketing and CGI Partner skilling to increase CGI pipeline, revenue and overall market adoption of Snowflake-aligned solutions
Build and maintain executive-level relationships with Snowflake and CGI leaders
Track and report on alliance performance metrics, including pipeline, bookings, certifications, and deal registration
Lead regular business reviews and joint planning sessions with Snowflake and internal stakeholders
Drive business growth through strategic initiatives, client engagement, and solution innovation related to Snowflake offerings.
Create enablement materials for CGI teams
Act as a subject matter expert on Snowflake’s platform and integration capabilities
Facilitate knowledge sharing and enablement across business units to ensure consistent delivery and adoption of Snowflake technologies
Stay current with Snowflake platform updates, best practices, and emerging trends
Represent CGI at industry events, conferences, and Snowflake partner forums
Provide Snowflake alliance thought leadership through publications, speaking engagements, and internal workshops
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
10–15 years in technology partnerships, consulting, or enterprise sales
Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing ISVs or cloud alliances generating $10M+ annual revenue
Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, cloud data warehousing concepts, and implementation best practices.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage CXO-level stakeholders
Strong negotiation and relationship management capabilities
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority
Snowflake certification (e.g., SnowPro Core, Architect, Data Engineer) and relevant cloud platforms are a plus
CA-AM or CSAP certification is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA preferred.
