What to Expect
At Tesla Toronto Automation, we design, build, and service custom, highly automated, high-volume manufacturing machinery to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to set up and operate our CNC Mills (3, 4 & 5 axis) and contribute to our mission.
Shift: 06:30 AM -04:00 PM; Monday-Thursday and 06:30 AM -03:00 PM; Friday (Overtime as needed)
What You'll Do

Set up and operate CNC Mills (e.g., Mazak, Hardinge, Grob, Mikron) to produce precision parts in varying quantities

Read and interpret electronic or paper blueprints to ensure parts meet exact specifications and quality standards

Machine a variety of materials, including tool steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and plastics, with precision and care
-
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area, adhering to prescribed safety procedures and protocols

Perform routine equipment maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of machinery

Assist in other areas such as fabrication, assembly, or maintenance as needed to support business demands

Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic aligned with Tesla’s mission and goals
What You'll Bring

Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating CNC machining equipment, preferably with mills and automation

Proficiency with CNC controls such as Mazatrol, Fanuc, Siemens, and Heidenhain
-
Apprenticeship or toolmaking background is considered a strong asset

Ability to follow standardized processes to successfully machine parts with consistency and accuracy

Basic computer knowledge and skills for operating systems and recording data

Must provide personal basic hand tools and toolbox for daily tasks

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
